Bird Species

This is a category for all species of birds, which are a group of living organisms consisting of individuals capable of interbreeding. This definition is extremely ambiguous, as individuals of different species can still interbreed (ex: Brewster’s and Lawrence’s Warblers, Swoose, Rackelhuhn, etc.) Species is the most specific of the 8 major natural taxonomic units, ranking below a genus and denoted by a Latin binomial, ex: Anas platyrhynchos.
