Archbold's Owlet-nightjar (Aegotheles archboldi) is a little-known montane forest species of owlet-nightjar that is often considered a subspecies of the Mountain Owlet-nightjar.
Behavior[]
Like all owlet-nightjars, Archbold's Owlet-nightjars are active at night. They feed on insects and worms and build their nests in tree hollows.
Distribution and Habitat[]
It lives in montane rainforests and is native to the western part of the New Guinea Highlands.
